MSG(Ret) Shawn Robinson - HHB 2/28th - 1981-1983 - Supply Clerk/Armorer/Driver - Did get to pull tale once... The first and best years of my 26yr Army career... If we could have bottled the spirit of leadership in that unit at that time in the Army, it could have cured many a units discipline woes in the future. Of course this was the pre "PC" Cold War Army, that could have conqured the globe in 72hrs or less. Ironically, I haven't ran across many of us "Line Towe'rs", other than COL Swain in the mid 90's in, of all places, the Tokyo Intl airport, where he was traveling to LTG Granrud's retirement at Camp Zama, and for those of you that remember him (S-2 NCO) SSG Bob Posley, who I still see once in a while. Really good seeing the pics and video... I'll have to pull out my pictures and start scanning them...
Godspeed to all... "Rob" email: srobinson12@murraystate.edu

I was assigned to A 2/28 from the end of 1985 to 1989. I drove everything the unit had. I was the supply clerk and myself and SSG Lacey were responsible for converting over to 3/17. I loved the people I served with and after reenlisting to PATRIOTT missile, I was sent back to Germany to serve with C 4/43 ADA. I was promoted to SSG in 6 years and after being selected for a 3 year tour of recruiting I got out on a hardship, due to my wife having cancer. I wanted to be a lifer, but I only got to serve 12 wonderful years.
